Spring is Here...well sort of...why snow?!?!

So in honor of the not so spring right now... Zombies!

Well a zombie, a Sam zombie to be correct! I was originally waiting to post this mostly because I was waiting for Robert Vajdec to get his own FX website *hint* up so I could link it; HERE. Alas this has not happened yet so it will be linked as soon as I can. In the mean time this beauty was done back in the spring time last year. What your seeing is a custom foam latex prosthetic designed for my face!  It was sculpted and molded, applied and painted by Rob, mentioned above. I just modeled it all around town :D

I have to say I was very happy to volunteer for this little project.  Don't I look good?

Urggg Arrrrg Rrrr!*

In Production! and Other Things....

As the titles implies I am currently building up some stock of unique pieces. There will be no reveal today, however I figured I'd share one of the latest commissions I did.

I have to say that I always love the challenge of commissions especially when I am given an idea to build on. I feel my bird skulls are quite well suited for a Gothic theme and working the cross in was a nice touch. I'm glad to say that my client was very happy with the end result. Which brings me to something I've noticed.

Finding things in Toronto and then never finding them again. Now I am fully aware this is a common thing with fabrics, given unique prints and a strong connection to the fashion industry.  However I did not realize this would extend to lace and ribbons....well it does. So I'll be on the hunt again soon , which in some ways is a pain especially when you love what you had found. On the up side though it keeps you current and constantly evolving and changing an idea. This is a good thing.

No ruts for me! >;3

Da Pumkin !

So Halloween, that was a thing back in October, you may know it…I had posted that I was busting my balls to get my costume done and I did! However the photos took a while longer and until now I have not posted anything :( That is all going to change now! Ta Da!

Now if you don’t recognize this Adorable Gourd, let me educate you with this Channel and this Facebooks and this Drawing Song (my favorite).  Upon stumbling across Alex and  Lindsay Small Butera's wonderfully odd animations back in 2010, I couldn’t help but love every minute of it.  This led to visions of being able bring my favorite character in the show to life.  This corresponded very well with my mascot making skills! Then it was just a matter of time. :D

I hope I did Pumkin's creators proud if they ever get to see this :)
