Good Things to Find and Monsters

I like picking up odds and ends especially when the odds and ends are handmade by amazing artists. For weird and wonderful creations, living in TO with Hamilton just a bus ride way, there are so many places to find all sorts of things. Plus it helps when a lot of the people you know happen to be going to Sheridan, for art. It was through one of these connections that I got a hold of This little guy:

This crazy critter is only one of  Morgan Reaume wacky wonderfully monster designs, handmade right down to all the embroidery! I can honestly say I saw him and I had to have him.  I think it's important to support local artists, and being able to attend this year's grad show,  oh how I wanted to support them all. There is something to be said walking into a room filled with that much talent, inspiring! Getting back to this monsters creator, if you like the look of this guy I am going to link this talented artist. LINK!
 

Art Crawl 2012! :D

Okay! So my life's been crazy trying to get ready for the Hamilton Super Crawl 2012! If you've never heard of it and or never gone, check it out here; Supercrawl.  If you're a lover of art, music and over all awesomeness consider going :D Plus yours truly has a table which is exciting, I will be selling my handmade jewelry and accessories. Which brings me back to why my life's been crazy! Been building and constructing!   

What was in that mold I previewed last week you may be thinking right about now? Well on your left you find my sculpted and hand painted Bird Skull Brooches, which will be for sale at this art crawl :)  Eventually this item will be show cased in my Etsy store,in construction for the moment. The Ballz are a Rolling!

 

So lot of balls a rolling as of late. Getting ready to do some festivals , writing on the side, and getting out to do some socially fun stuff. Still adjusting  to the city have to say. There are so many people and yet so little interaction, beside trying to get passed them to get somewhere. However I've been getting more involved with the Art community including going to an amazing  magazine release party for Nest. Which can be found at  the Gutter Bird website HERE.  Supporting local artists is always is a bonus! 

Other then that I worked Hamilton Festival of Friends with Jacqueline, who is the owner of Complete Art and Effects Web site HERE.  There we as well as some other very talented FX artists proceeded to give children, students, parents and even their babies black eyes. There were of course some other  very gruesome FX as well as helping out the amazing guys and gals of Nightmare on Elmore.

On the home front I mentioned getting ready to do some festivals , in which I hope to sell some of my own creations.  Sculpting, molding, casting, creating and ext. ext. has been all of my spare time, and by spare time I mean all of the time I am not making money.  Hopefully that will turn into me making money for my own art.  :D I'll be talking more about those projects next time.  Hope you Guys are doing awesome!  I'll be trying to update again more regularly.
